A custom video, highlighting the best of your Bavaria & Beyond vacation, will premier at the start of this special evening. Visit the idyllic alpine village of Mittenwald. En route you will be led to the hidden remains of one of the most important ancient roads of Europe, the Via Claudia Augusta. Built by the Romans to expand the empire north over the Alps, it was later used as the main trading route from Venice to Augsburg. Learn about Mittenwald's merchant and violin history while taking in the alpine views.
Take a tour down the picturesque Ludwigstrasse, part of the historic Via Claudia Augusta trading route. Learn about Partenkirchen's merchant past while hearing lively tales of the townspeople and the many famous travelers to pass through. After admiring the beautiful merchant homes and their vibrant frescoes, guests will enjoy a visit to Partenkirchen’s local chocolate shop before heading to lunch at a secluded mountain restaurant.
Just a stone’s throw to the North of Garmisch sits the delightful town of Murnau and the scenic Lake Staffelsee. Relax and take in the breathtaking panoramic Alpine view as we cruise along the shores of Staffelsee to a lakeside restaurant and cafe. Here guests will have the opportunity to enjoy coffee and cake with a view before our private bus brings us to the delightful pedestrian zone in Murnau where dozens of shops and boutiques await along with several exceptional restaurants and local Bavarian breweries.

Upon arriving at the Munich International Airport, your Bavaria & Beyond guides will be waiting to greet you. Enjoy a complementary beverage and mingle with your fellow travelers as our group assembles at the designated airport "Treffpunkt" or meeting point. Once the group is completely gathered, we will pack up and depart for beautiful Garmisch-Partenkirchen via a private coach bus. Our "express check-in" process will ensure that you quickly and comfortably settle-in to your new Bavarian "home-away-from-home". After a short break to relax and unpack, a Welcome Reception will be hosted in the hotel's wonderful main restaurant. Enjoy an all-inclusive meal with delicious local delicacies and of course, Bavarian Bier! During the reception all the necessary information will be distributed to ensure a smooth start to your Bavaria & Beyond vacation!
Following a scenic drive through the mountainous region of Tirol, Austria. we arrive at our first stop of the day; the elegant Swarowski Crystal World. Make your way through the Crystal World’s awe-inspiring exhibits while learning about the company’s crystal manufacturing history. Of course, no visit would be complete with out an opportunity to peruse the Crystal World’s seemingly endless array of jewelry and crystal-ware available for purchase. Following our visit to the Swarowski Crystal World we will make our way to the beautiful alpine city of Innsbruck for lunch and free time.
A scenic drive through the idyllic Bavarian countryside brings us to the breathtaking shores of Lake Constance. Enjoy a short tour of town before exploring this beloved summer vacation destination. The island town of Lindau am Bodensee is sure to impress with its quaint streets and alley ways lined with unique shops, boutiques, and delicious cafe restaurants.
Enjoy a relaxing day in beautiful Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Visit the Zugspitze, Germany's highest mountain, and take a ride with the new world record holding cable car. Or treat yourself to an easy morning before visiting your favorite local cafe followed by some shopping in the city center. Guests seeking a little adventure may enjoy a visit to one of the regions many pristine alpine lakes with a stroll along the lakeshore.
Things move at a slower pace on Sunday as does this days tour. We begin with a short drive to the Ettal Monastery built in 1330. From there we visit a local cheese factory where we will learn more about the production of local cheese before sampling the wide variety ourselves. Following a traditional Bavarian lunch we will visit a local woodcarving shop before heading home. Guests wishing to visit the traditional Garmisch Volksfestival will have an opportunity to do so at the tours conclusion as we return to beautiful Garmisch-Partenkirchen for an easy-going afternoon.
Discover the beauty of Munich and it’s beloved English Garden as you’re whisked along in a private 2-person “Riksha” bike taxi. Our guides will show us the many sights scattered about the the beautiful English Gardens. Our tour ends at Marienplatz in the heart of Munich’s Old Town where guests will have time to visit the world-renowned Hofbrauhaus before exploring the Old Town at their leisure.
