Our scenic summer journey through Scandinavia begins in Bergen, where you’ll wander the historic waterfront and soak in the coastal charm before winding through Norway’s dramatic mountain landscapes toward Oslo. From the capital city, our adventure continues across the border into Sweden, where tranquil forests and lakeside villages reveal a slower pace of life. Following time in the stylish capital of Stockholm, we make our way to the third and final country of the tour with a delightful stay in Copenhagen.

Day 0 - Optional Early Arrival Day - Saturday, June 13th
Arrive in Bergen a day early and ease into your Scandinavian adventure at your own pace. Fly in whenever you’d like and we’ll have a private driver will be waiting to meet you and bring you directly to our comfortable accommodations near the historic harbor. Settle in, relax, and enjoy some free time to explore Bryggen’s colorful wooden warehouses, stroll the waterfront, or sample local cafés before the main tour begins. €495.00 per room with private airport transfer.

Day 1 - Arrival Day - Sunday, June 14th
Welcome to beautiful Bergen! After gathering as a group at the airport, we’ll make your way to our comfortable hotel near the historic harbor and take some time to unpack, relax, or enjoy a short stroll along the waterfront at your leisure. As evening falls, we’ll gather for a welcome dinner, getting to know our fellow travelers while sampling local flavors and setting the stage for the Scandinavian journey ahead.

Day 2 - Bergen Walking Tour & Cable Car - Monday, June 15th
We begin our first full day in Bergen with a guided walking tour through its historic streets and along the harbor. We’ll wander past the colorful wooden warehouses, learn about the city’s Hanseatic past, and take in the lively atmosphere of the waterfront. Later, we ride a cable car (or funicular) up into the surrounding hills for sweeping views over the city, fjord, and islands beyond. After returning to the center, enjoy free time to explore on your own, linger in a café, or browse local shops concluding a leisurly start to what’s sure to be a great tour.

Day 3 - Norway’s Fjord Landscapes - Tuesday, June 16th
Traveling inland from Bergen and the coast, we set out on one of Norway’s classic scenic journeys as we make our way toward the mountain town of Geilo via Flam. Our route will combine a mix of coach travel with some of the country’s most beautiful fjord and railway scenery, with time to enjoy dramatic valleys, tumbling waterfalls, and tranquil waters along the way. Depending on conditions and schedules, we may travel part of the way by boat through a narrow fjord, ride a picturesque mountain train, or follow a particularly striking overland route by road, with pauses for photos and a relaxed break. By late day, we arrive in Geilo, where you’ll settle into our comfortable hotel and enjoy the fresh mountain air before the next stage of our Scandinavian adventure.

Day 4 - Norwegian Culture & Craftsmanship - Wednesday, June 17th
From Geilo, we begin our journey east toward Oslo, following a scenic route through valleys, forests, and small Norwegian towns. Along the way, we’ll pause at a traditional open-air museums, historic wooden churches, charming village centers, all spaces set in beautiful natural surroundings with plenty of scenic stops. A higlight is sure to be the Kistefos Museum with its intriguing twist design. By late afternoon, we’ll be pulling into Norway’s capital of Oslo to settle into our hotel and enjoy the evening at leisure.

Day 5 - Vikings & the Oslo Fjord - Thursday, June 18th
Heading south, we discover Norway’s Viking and coastal heritage on a day trip from Oslo. We begin at the Midgard Vikingsenter, where interactive exhibits and reconstructed longhouses bring the world of the Vikings to life and offer insight into their daily routines, beliefs, and voyages. From here, we continue to nearby Tønsberg, often considered Norway’s oldest town, for a stroll through its charming center and a visit to the Slottsfjell Museum, with its hilltop tower and views over the harbor. In the afternoon, stop in the seaside village of Åsgårdstrand, known for its artistic legacy and wooden houses. Returning to our Oslo hotel in the afternoon, we’ll have one last evening free to spend in the Norwegian capital before heading to Sweden the next day.

Day 6 - Drøbak, Fredrikstad, and the Halden Canal - Friday, June 19th
Leaving Oslo, we follow the Oslofjord south making a few last stops before leaving Norway. Our first stop will be in the charming coastal town of Drøbak. Here, you’ll have time to stroll its colorful streets, browse small shops, and enjoy views across the water toward the historic Oscarsborg Fortress. We then continue to Fredrikstad, known for its remarkably preserved old town, where cobbled lanes and ramparts hint at its days as a fortified city. Turning inland, we pause along the Halden Canal, one of Norway’s oldest waterways, to admire the tranquil scenery and learn how locks and canals once linked remote regions. In the afternoon, we cross the border into Sweden and travel on to Karlstad, arriving at our hotel near the shores of Lake Vänern with the evening at leisure.

Day 7 - Örebro & the Vasa Museum - Saturday, June 20th
Following an easy-going start to the day along the shores of Lake Vänern, we travel east across the forests and lakes of central Sweden toward Stockholm. Our first stop is Örebro, where you’ll have time for a stroll in the compact center and views of its fairy-tale castle set on an island in the river. Continuing across the countryside, we pause at Anundshög, an ancient burial site featuring impressive stone settings and ship formations that hint at Sweden’s distant past. As we approach the capital, we make our way through Stockholm’s suburbs to the island of Djurgården for a visit to the Vasa Museum, home to the remarkably preserved 17th-century warship that has become one of the country’s most famous cultural treasures. After our visit, we continue to our hotel in Stockholm and settle in for the evening.

Day 8 - Stockholm Archipelago Boat Tour - Sunday, June 21st
Setting sail from Stockholm, we head off to experience the beauty of the archipelago by boat, gliding past rocky islets, pine-clad shores, and charming red cottages perched by the water’s edge. As we cruise between the islands, you’ll hear stories about life in the archipelago and how these waterways have shaped Stockholm’s history and way of life. There will be time to relax on deck, enjoy the fresh sea air, and take in the ever-changing scenery of bays, inlets, and open stretches of water. After returning to the city, the remainder of the day is yours to continue exploring Stockholm at your own pace.

Day 9 - Stockholm Skyview & Scenic South - Monday, June 22nd
Heading out of Stockholm, we begin the day with a scenic visit to SkyView, where glass gondolas lift you up the side of the city’s iconic spherical arena for sweeping views across the capital and its surroundings. Afterward, we travel through the heart of southern Sweden, passing towns such as Norrköping, Nyköping, and Linköping, with time for a relaxed stop to stretch your legs and get a taste of local life in one of these historic centers. As the day unfolds, the landscape shifts from coastal inlets to rolling countryside and forested hills, eventually opening onto the shores of Lake Vättern. By late afternoon, we arrive in Jönköping and settle into our waterfront accommodations on Lake Vättern with the evening free to enjoy the lakeside setting at your leisure.

Day 10 - Ikea Museum & Kronborg Castle - Tuesday, June 23rd
Following a relaxing night’s stay along the shores of Lake Vättern, we set off for the third and final country of our tour: Denmark. En route, we’ll stop at the quirky IKEA Museum, wandering through decades of Scandinavian design, sitting in recreated living rooms from different eras, and learning how iconic flat-pack ideas were born. After one last opportunity for some authentic Swedish meatballs at lunch, we set sail for Denmark on a short 30-minute ferry across the Öresund. Arriving in Helsingør, we’ll visit the charming old town and Kronborg Castle, an imposing Renaissance fortress that inspired Shakespeare’s Elsinore. As evening falls, we make our way to Copenhagen, where our day concludes at our hotel along the picturesque canals of the Nyhavn district.

Day 11 - Copenhagen & Farewell Dinner - Wendesday, June 24th
Discover the beauty of Copenhagen on foot, enjoying a guided walking tour through its historic streets, elegant squares and colourful harbourfront. Following our orientation, we’ll have some time to soak up the city’s café culture and perhaps pick up a few last souvenirs. In the evening, we come together one last time for a special farewell dinner, sharing stories and highlights from our journey across Scandinavia. For those joining us on the Iceland add-on, the adventure continues as you prepare to travel on toward dramatic landscapes and new experiences, while the rest of the group bids farewell and departs for home the following day.

Day 12 - Departure Day OR Iceland Add-On - Thursday, June 25th
After a leisurely breakfast, our tour concludes with transportation to Copenhagen’s international airport.

Optional Iceland Add-On
June 25th - 28th, 2026
Extend your adventure with an optional three-night add-on to Iceland, based in vibrant Reykjavík. Enjoy a guided introduction to the capital’s colorful streets, harbor views, and landmark sights, with free time to explore at your own pace. Consider a visit to the Blue Lagoon for some scenic relaxation or maybe a whalea and puffin express cruise The next day, we travel along the dramatic southern coast to experience black-sand beaches, towering sea cliffs, and some of Iceland’s most impressive waterfalls before returning to the city for the night. Our final full day is devoted to the famed Golden Circle, linking geysers, rift valleys, and the thundering Gullfoss waterfall, offering a memorable glimpse into the island’s volcanic power and wild beauty. As our add-on comes to a close, we will have sampled some of Iceland’s most iconic landscapes before continuing the journey home.
