Day 0 - Optional Early Arrival - Monday, November 30th
Arrive in Gdańsk a day early and ease into this Christmas journey at your own pace, flying in whenever you’d like. After you exit customs, a private driver will be waiting to meet you and escort you directly to our cozy accommodations in the heart of the historic old town. Settle in, relax, and enjoy some free time to wander Gdańsk’s atmospheric streets, illuminated squares, and festive cafés before the main holiday tour begins.

Day 1 - Arrival Day and Welcome Reception - Tuesday, December 1st
Witamy and welcome to festive Gdańsk! Upon your arrival at the city’s international airport, we’ll be waiting to greet you before heading to our cozy accommodations in the heart of the historic old town. After you’ve had time to unpack and settle in, we’ll gather for a Welcome Dinner to kick off what’s sure to be an unforgettable Christmas journey in Poland.

Day 2 - Gdansk City Tour - Wednesday, December 2nd
Get to know the area around you as we enjoy an introductory tour of Gdansk. Once a key member of the Hanseatic League, Gdańsk has long been a crossroads of cultures and trade. TOday, we’ll stroll through this Baltic port city whose colorful facades and cobbled lanes hide centuries of remarkable history. Along the way, we’ll see many of the towns highlights and learn of the town’s pivotal role in modern history where the some say the first shots of WWII were fired. As our tour concludes, enjoy free time to linger in the old town, browse shops, or warm up with coffee and cake in one of the city’s cozy cafés.

Day 3 - Malbork Castle -Thursday, December 3rd
Leaving Gdańsk, we head off to Malbork Castle, one of Europe’s largest and most impressive brick fortresses. As we explore its grand halls, courtyards, and towering walls, you’ll step back into the world of the Teutonic Knights and learn about the region’s medieval past. Following time to wander the grounds and enjoy a warm drink or snack, we’ll end the day Olsztyn, also known as Poland’s “land of a thousand lakes”.

Day 4 - Wolf’s Lair - Friday, December 4th
Driving into the forests of former East Prussia, out destination for the day is the Wolf’s Lair, Adolf Hitler’s wartime headquarters on the Eastern Front. Hidden deep among the trees, this vast bunker complex was not only the site of the 1944 assassination attempt against Hitler, but also a massive self-contained “hidden city” with roads, rail lines, and camouflaged buildings. While walking the grounds, we’ll also learn about the region’s broader history and its return to peaceful life after the war, surrounded today by quiet forests, birdlife, and scenic lakes. Returning to Olsztyn, we’ll have the evening free to relax or enjoy a stroll through the old town.

Day 5 - Teutonic Castle in Nidzica - Saturday, December 5th
As our main tour begins, guests arriving in Warsaw will gather at the Warsaw airport then making their way to our centrally located hotel. Following some time to time to unpack, rest, or take a short stroll through the surrounding streets, the group will gather as a whole in the evening for a warm Welcome Dinner.
For those joining us from the pre-tour extension set out this morning across the lake-dotted landscapes of northern Poland toward the capital. En route, we pause in Nidzica, a small town crowned by an imposing red-brick Teutonic castle. Once part of the medieval frontier between the Teutonic Order and the Kingdom of Poland, this fortress offers a glimpse into the turbulent history of the region, where knights, merchants, and settlers shaped the cultural tapestry of Warmia and Masuria. After time to explore the castle and enjoy a relaxed break, we continue on through gently rolling countryside to Warsaw, where extension guests rejoin the group in time for the evening’s welcome festivities.

Main Christmas Tour: Poland, Czechia, and the Alps
December 5th - 19th, 2026
Celebrate the festive season on a Christmas journey through Central Europe, beginning in the historic cities of Warsaw and Kraków. Crossing into the Czech Republic, we continue to the lesser-known city of Brno before settling in for a three-night stay in Prague’s storybook Old Town. From there, we travel to Salzburg to enjoy its musical charm and Advent atmosphere, then on to the snow-dusted landscapes of Garmisch-Partenkirchen in the Bavarian Alps. A convenient final night near Munich International Airport provides a relaxed and easy end to your holiday escape.
