Day 1 - Arrival Day - Saturday, December 5th

As our main tour begins, guests arriving in Warsaw will gather at the Warsaw airport then making their way to our centrally located hotel. Following some time to time to unpack, rest, or take a short stroll through the surrounding streets, the group will gather as a whole in the evening for a warm Welcome Dinner.

Day 2 - Warsaw Walking Tour - Sunday, December 6th

Discover Warsaw on a relaxed walking tour that introduces you to the city’s historic heart and its story of resilience. We’ll make our way through the restored old streets and main squares, pausing at notable landmarks and hearing how Warsaw has evolved from royal capital to modern metropolis. Along the route, your guide will share an overview of the city’s past and present, leaving you nicely oriented for further exploration in your free time.

Day 3 - Żelazowa Wola & Chopin - Monday, December 7th

Following a relaxing day in Warsaw, twe spend a day learng about the life and music of Frédéric Chopin traveling into the Polish countryside to Żelazowa Wola. Here, we’ll discover the composer’s birthplace, where a charming manor house and landscaped park pay tribute to his legacy. Enjoy time to stroll the grounds, visit the small museum and soak in some of Chopin’s music. Along the way, we will take a few breaks gaining a sense of the rural landscapes that shaped his childhood. In the afternoon, we return to Warsaw for a final afternoon of free time before our departure.

Day 4 - Jasna Góra Monastery - Tuesday, December 8th

Enroute from Warsaw to Krakow we’ll visit Jasna Góra Monastery in Częstochowa, one of Poland’s most important pilgrimage sites and home to the revered icon of the Black Madonna. Explore the basilica, chapels, and monastery grounds, taking in the spiritual atmosphere and centuries of history before continuing your journey onward.

Day 5 - Krakow Walking Tour & Wieliczka Salt Mines - Wednesday, December 9th

Discover Kraków’s rich history with a guided walking tour through its atmospheric Old Town, taking in landmarks such as the Main Market Square, St. Mary’s Basilica, and Wawel Hill. Learn how the city has evolved over the centuries as you wander cobbled streets and lively plazas. In the afternoon, venture just outside the city to the UNESCO-listed Wieliczka Salt Mines, descending underground to explore sculpted salt chambers, chapels, and tunnels that reveal one of Poland’s most remarkable man-made wonders.

Day 6 - Oscar Schindler Factory & Auschwitz - Thursday, December 10th

Today is devoted to reflecting on some of the most difficult chapters of recent history. We begin in Kraków at Oskar Schindler’s Factory, where an insightful museum recounts life under Nazi occupation and the lives saved through Schindler’s efforts. We then continue to Auschwitz for a guided visit to portions of the former concentration and extermination camp, a sobering experience that invites quiet remembrance. Afterward, we travel onward into the Czech Republic, arriving at our hotel near Brno for an overnight stay.

Day 7 - Pardubice Gingerbread Town & Kutná Hora - Friday, December 11th

Traveling through the Czech Republic, we make our first stop of the day in Pardubice, the famed “gingerbread town,” where we stroll the historic center, see the castle from the outside, and learn about the city’s long tradition of crafting beautifully decorated perník. Of course, no visit would be complete without an opportunity to sample some treats of your own. Following this stop, we then continue to Kutná Hora, once a powerful silver-mining city, for a walk through its UNESCO-listed old town and a visit to the soaring St. Barbara’s Church, before concluding our day upon arrival in the Czech capital city of Prague.

Day 8 - Prague Walking Tour - Saturday, December 12th

Experience the magic of Prague at Christmastime on a leisurely walking tour through its storybook streets. We’ll wander the cobbled lanes of the Old Town, past glowing shop windows and historic façades dressed in seasonal decorations. In Old Town Square, take in the towering Christmas tree and festive market stalls filling the air with the scent of mulled wine and roasted chestnuts. Along the way, your guide will share tales of Prague’s past and local holiday traditions. The tour offers a wonderful first taste of the city, leaving you nicely oriented to explore further on your own.

Day 9 - Dresden Christmas Market - Sunday, December 13th

Crossing over the border, we make our way to Saxony for a quick day trip to Dresden and one of Germany’s most elegant river cities. After a scenic drive through the countryside, arrive in the beautifully restored Old Town, where grand Baroque landmarks such as the Frauenkirche and Zwinger Palace showcase Dresden’s royal past. Enjoy a guided walk through the historic center before some free time to have lunch, stroll the Elbe riverfront, or browse local shops. In the festive season, you may also experience the city’s famous Christmas markets, adding extra charm to your visit. By late afternoon, we return to Prague, arriving back at the hotel with the evening at leisure.

Day 10 - Český Krumlov - Monday, December 14th

Leaving Prague we journey south through wintry countryside on our way to Salzburg, with a festive stop in Český Krumlov. Wrapped in its Christmas lights and seasonal decorations, this fairy-tale town feels especially magical as we wander its narrow lanes, colorful façades, and castle-topped hill overlooking the Vltava River. Enjoy time to explore the charming center, warm up with a hot drink, and browse local shops or market stalls. In the afternoon, we continue across the border into Austria, arriving in Salzburg by evening to settle into our hotel and savor the city’s own holiday atmosphere.

Day 11 - Salzburg Old Town - Tuesday, December 15th

Stroll through the baroque Old Town of Salzburg and embrace the holiday charm, where church spires, ornate facades, and cozy squares are dressed in twinkling lights and garlands. Wander the traditional Christmas markets at the foot of the fortress, browsing stalls filled with handcrafted ornaments, wooden toys, and the scent of roasted chestnuts and mulled wine. Following an orientation tour of the Old Town district, enjoy time to duck into warm cafés, attend an Advent concert, or simply linger by the market stalls, this visit lets you soak up the full magic of Christmastime in Salzburg.

Day 12 - Tyrolean Christmas - Wednesday, December 16th

From Salzburg we travel through the snow-dusted landscapes of Tyrol on our way to Garmisch-Partenkirchen. As we cross into Austria’s alpine heartland, we pause in one or two charming Tyrolean towns, where traditional Christmas markets fill the streets with twinkling lights, wooden stalls, and the scent of pastries and mulled wine. In the afternoon, we continue over the border into Germany, arriving in beautiful Garmisch-Partenkirchen.

Day 13 - Garmisch-Partenkirchen - Thursday, December 17th

Enjoy a day exploring its picturesque streets set in the bavarian alps. We’ll begin the day with a short orientation tour of both towns before an afternoon of free time. Explore the charming historic center of Partenkirchen, with its cobblestone streets and beautifully painted facades, or wander the Garmisch pedestrian zone known for its vibrant atmosphere and boutique shops. Visit the local Christmas Market in Richard-Strauss-Platz, where the scent of mulled wine and roasted chestnuts fills the air, or simply relax in a cozy café and soak in the alpine charm during the holiday season.

Day 14 - Munich - Friday, December 18th

As the alps slowly drift away in our rearview mirror, we arrive in the bavarian capital of Munich during the enchanting Christmas Market season. A spectacular stop any time of year, the city comes alive with holiday spirit every year during the advent season. Before visiting the Old Town district and famous Marienplatz Christmas Market, set beneath the towering Gothic spires of the Neues Rathaus, we’ll include a stop at some one of the towns lesser-known markets outside of town. After free time in the city, we continue north to the Hilton Hotel and the Munich International Airport. While our journey concludes here, the fun continues with a Farewell Dinner at the local brewery followed by an optional stop for one last gluehwein at the delightful market located immidetly in front of the hotel. Following a comfortable overnight stay at the Hilton Hotel, begin your relaxing journey home with the convenience and comfort of easy access to the airport, ensuring a stress-free departure.
