Accommodations

Small groups have a variety of options when it comes to accommodations. While each category has its own pros and cons, you really can’t go wrong. Hotels

For most groups, staying at a hotel is the most convenient and comfortable option. The majority of our groups stay in local 4-star accommodations. At times, a 3-star Superior hotel can also be a great option. For those looking for a more luxurious experience, we can also organize 4-star superior or 5-star accommodations.

Guesthouses & Pensions

Guesthouses and Pensions offer basic accommodations in a traditional setting. Usually family-owned and operated, the often modest accommodations provide a great way to experience the local flair. While they won’t have the amenities or services found at a hotel, they still offer a little more than your basic vacation apartment.

Vacation Apartments

Vacation apartments are great option for families traveling together. From simple apartments to luxury homes, vacation apartments truly provide guests with a home-away-from-home during their vacation. While meals are usually not included, they often have kitchens available making it possible for travelers to enjoy a home-cooked meal with local ingredients during their stay.

Transportation

Small groups have the most diverse options when it comes to organizing transportation on tours. Groups are still small enough where public transit is a viable and less expensive option, while being large enough to warrant a small private bus or van. On occasion, the most economical choice may be to book several standard taxi’s for short excursions.

19-Person Sprinter Bus

A great option for groups of 6 or more is the 19-person bus; especially on longer trips. Pricing isn’t much more than a basic 8-person van but provides a lot more room for guests to spread out and travel in comfort during daily excursions.

Trains, Taxis & Public Transit

Like many European countries, Germany has an exceptional public transit network offerings safe and convenient transportation for both leisure and business travelers alike.

Our Half-board dining package includes a daily breakfast with one 3-course meal each day. Depending on the day’s itinerary, this could be either a late lunch or dinner served at the hotel restaurant or one of our favorite restaurants in town.

Full-board

The Full-board dining package includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner each day. We will usually enjoy lunch together during the day’s excursion with dinner served at the hotel restaurant or somewhere nearby.

This dining package is the most flexible option while still including a major trip expense in the package price. Prior to the tour, a set amount of money will be budgeted into the trip for daily meals. During the tour any group meals will be covered by these funds.
