Bavaria is filled with beautiful castles and elegant places. While the region’s most famous castles, such as Neuschwanstein Palace, were constructed (but never finished) by the famous Castle King, King Ludwig II, our destination for the day dates back to 1662 when it was built by the Bavarian Elector Ferdinand Maria in celebration of his first-born son. Since then, Nymphenburg Palace has been the summer residence of the Bavarian royal family. During our visit, we will discover the seemingly endless immaculate rooms and halls making up this beautiful palace. We will have time to explore the scenic gardens and additional palaces located on the grounds before making a visit to the Royal Marstal Museum of Carriages and Sleighs. As we finish our visit to the grounds of Nymphenburg Palace, we will travel just a stone’s throw away to one of Munich’s best-kept secrets as we visit the Royal Hirschgarten beer garden.
