Flight Booking Instructions
Scandinavia Tour with Iceland Add-On
We are thrilled to have you join us on the Iceland Add-On following our tour of Scandanavia. To provide the most flexibility (and avoid additional fees), we’ve put together an overview of two viable options when it comes to making flight arrangements for this tour.
Option A - Book Round Trip with Iceland Air - Recommended
Option B - Book with Your Preferred Airline + One-Way flight from Copenhagen to Iceland (this may be preferable if Iceland Air does not fly to your home airport)
Regardless of whether you choose option a or option b, please ensure…
Your flight arrives in Bergen on June 13th for early arrival or June 14th for the main tour.
Your flight from Copenhagen to Reykjavik (KEF) is FI205 departing at 2:00 PM.
Your flight home from Reykjavik (KEF) leaves on June 28th.
Further details regarding each option can be found below. If you run into any complications along the way, please feel free to reach out to us at anytime. We are more than happy to help!
Tour Itinerary
Option A - Book Round Trip with Iceland Air - Recommended and Easiest
This option keeps your itinerary under one airline/booking, which can be helpful for managing connections and changes. We’ve included a step-by-step overview below with Chicago ORD as an example booking via the Iceland Air “stopover” tool.
Go to www.icelandair.com
Enter your route (From your U.S. city → Bergen) to start, then search.
This will take you to another page where you can select “Stopover in Iceland” as the trip type. The button is located in the top left corner.
*Note: You may also choose the “Multicity” option and try entering flight segments directly.
Now enter the following flights:
Flight 1: U.S. (your city) → Bergen (BGO)
Depart: June 12 or 13 (overnight travel—“you lose a day” flying east)
Arrive: June 13 or 14, depending on whether you are scheduled for early arrival
Ensure you have not selected an extended stopover in Iceland for this segment of the trip.
Flight 2: Copenhagen (CPH) → Destination of Origin
Date: June 25, 2026
Select Stopover in Iceland for 3 nights
Click the green “Search Flights” bar at the bottom of the page.
Select Flights and Ticket Category.
The flight to Bergen should depart the USA on June 12th or 13th and arrive on June 13th any time or 14th by 3pm.
For the return flight, select any flight combination while ensuring the flight segment from Copenhagen is FI205 departing at 2:00 PM from Copenhagen. The layover in Iceland will be a total of 3 days and a few hours.
After your layover, the return flight from Reykjavik should depart on June 28 at the preferred time for your destination.
Continue to passenger details and payment to complete your booking.
Option B - Your Preferred Airline + One-Way flight from Copenhagen to Iceland
This option is best if you prefer another carrier for your international flights, or if Icelandair doesn’t fly conveniently from your area.
Step 1: Book your international flights with your preferred airline
U.S. (your city) → Bergen (BGO)
Depart: June 12 or 13 (overnight travel)
Arrive: June 13 or 14, depending on early arrival
Reykjavik (KEF) → U.S. (your city)
Depart: June 28 (choose your preferred time)
Step 2: Book the Copenhagen → Reykjavik flight through Icelandair
Go to www.icelandair.com
Enter From: Copenhagen (CPH) and To: Reykjavik (KEF), then click Search
In the upper left, open “Select trip type” and choose “One Way.”
Select June 25, 2026 and the number of passengers
Choose Flight FI205 (CPH 2:00 PM → KEF 3:20 PM)
Select your preferred seat/upgrade options
Complete the booking by entering passenger and payment details
Please note, guests may also decide to book a different flight than the group flight (FI205) on June 25th from Copenhagen to Reykjavik. However, in this case, transportation to the Copenhagen Airport and from Reykjavik will need to be arranged at an additional cost.
