Offering a charming contrast to the city's modern, high-tech reputation, our day begins with at visit to the Römerberg market in Frankfurt. This historic district is known for its medieval architecture, half-timbered houses, and cobblestone streets. The market square, surrounded by historic buildings like the Römer, Frankfurt’s iconic town hall, evokes a sense of old-world Europe, offering a peaceful, traditional atmosphere. From here, we make our way to Rothenburg ob der Tauber, where our central accomodations located directly on the town’s notorious Christmas Market square await.

Day 3 - Rothenburg ob der Tauber - Friday, December 12th

Wake up in the Christmas wonderland of Rothenburg ob der Tauber and spend the day exploring the medieval walled city at your leisure. Step out your doorstep to find the town’s cobbled streets, half-timbered houses, and festive Christmas market just waiting to be discovered. Enjoy a relaxed first day in one of Germany’s most beloved holiday destinations, taking in the charm and magic of the season. In the evening, consider joining the Night Watchman for a captivating tour that takes you back in time, unveiling the town’s rich history and storied past.

Day 4 - Ulm & The Augsburgs Engelspiel - Saturday, December 13th

As we journey from Rothenburg ob der Tauber to Garmisch-Partenkirchen, our day begins with a scenic drive south to Ulm, where you'll visit the Ulm Christmas Market, set against the stunning backdrop of the towering Ulm Minster, home to Europe’s tallest steeple. Take time to stroll through the festive market stalls, explore the Minster, or visit one of the town’s fascinating prehistoric museums, where ancient artifacts, including Ice Age tools and early human history, are on display. As the sun sets, we continue to Augsburg, one of Germany’s oldest cities, to witness the enchanting Engelsspiel (Angels' Performance), where angels appear on the facade of the Town Hall, bringing it to life with music and light. Our journey concludes in the charming town of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, arriving amidst the snow-capped Alps, ready for the next chapter of your alpine adventure.

Day 5 - Tyrolean Christmas & Rattenberg - Sunday, December 14th

On this festive day trip from Garmisch-Partenkirchen, we’ll journey over the border into Austria’s enchanting Tyrol region, where charming towns and Christmas markets await as we travel along the Inn river. The highlight of the day is sure to be our visit to the medieval town of Rattenberg, known for its beautifully preserved old-world architecture and intimate Christmas Market. Stroll through the narrow streets illuminated by candlelight following an artisan glasswork demonstration. Other stops along the way will include a few of Tyrol's other beloved markets,such as Hall in Tirol with its picturesque squares, the historic mining town of Schwaz, the alpine resort town of Seefeld, or the lively Innsbruck, where the market is set against the stunning backdrop of the Nordkette mountain range. This festive journey is a perfect way to soak in the holiday spirit amidst Tyrol’s scenic beauty and rich traditions.

Day 6 - Garmisch-Partenkirchen Tour - Monday, December 15th

As our stay in Garmisch-Partenkirchen slowly comes to an end, enjoy a day exploring its picturesque streets set in the bavarian alps. We’ll begin the day with a short orientation tour of both towns before an afternoon of free time. Explore the charming historic center of Partenkirchen, with its cobblestone streets and beautifully painted facades, or wander the Garmisch pedestrian zone known for its vibrant atmosphere and boutique shops. Visit the local Christmas Market in Richard-Strauss-Platz, where the scent of mulled wine and roasted chestnuts fills the air, or simply relax in a cozy café and soak in the alpine charm during the holiday season.

Day 7 - Munich City & Farewell Dinner - Tuesday, December 16th

As the alps slowly drift away in our rearview mirror, we arrive in the bavarian capital of Munich during the enchanting Christmas Market season. A spectacular stop any time of year, the city comes alive with holiday spirit every year during the advent season. Before visiting the Old Town district and famous Marienplatz Christmas Market, set beneath the towering Gothic spires of the Neues Rathaus, we’ll include a stop at some one of the towns lesser-known markets outside of town. AFter free time in the city, we continue north to the Hilton Hotel and the Munich International Airport. While our journey concludes here, the fun continues with a Farewell Dinner at the local brewery followed by an optional stop for one last gluehwein at the delightful market located immidetly in front of the hotel. Following a comfortable overnight stay at the Hilton Hotel, begin your relaxing journey home with the convenience and comfort of easy access to the airport, ensuring a stress-free departure.
