Make the most of your vacation and book our relaxing add-on option to Wales and the English Lake District. This itinerary is available to our guests on both the September and October Scotland and Ireland Tour Itineraries. Guests participating in our September tour itinerary can book the optional add-on as an extension following the main itinerary dates while those joining us on the October tour are able to book the add-on trip with an early arrival prior to the October tour start date. Guests from both the September and October tours benefit by booking the optional add-on as it makes fly into and out of the same airport possible. (September Tour - Edinburgh) and (October Tour - Dublin).

Early Arrival for Guests on the October Scotland & Ireland Tour Itinerary - September 29th

Participants on the October Scotland & Ireland Tour will arrive via our private airport transfer and be welcomed to Dublin. Guests participating in the September tour will already be in Dublin as part of the main tour.

Dublin to Holyhead Crossing - September 30th

Enjoy a leisurely start to your morning followed by a cultural visit in Dublin and lunch before departing for the scenic ferry ride to North Wales. Take in the stunning views of the Welsh coast as we arrive just before sunset.

Wales - Castles and Culture - October 1st

Learn the history and culture of the unique country of Wales. Marvel in medieval castles and enjoy a historic train ride on the narrow-gauge railway through the heart of Snowdonia National Park.

Liverpool City Tour and the Beatles Story - October 2nd

Enjoy a relaxing start to the day in the seaside town of Llandudno. Following a morning of exploration, we will depart Wales for the English Lake District. Enroute we will visit the revitalized industrial city of Liverpool for lunch followed by a Beatles Tour. Learning about the city’s history as the hub of the British music scene in the 1960s. Our day concludes at luxurious waterfront accommodations on Lake Windermere, one of the English Lake District’s most scenic destinations.

English Lake District - October 3rd

This fairy-tale landscape was the inspiration for Beatrix Potter and her famous children’s books. Our lakeside accommodations in Bowness-on-Windmere is an ideal spot for a day of leisure and relaxation. In the morning enjoy a cruise on the lake followed by free time for guests to enjoy afternoon tea and sightseeing at their own pace.

The Roman Ruins of Hadrian’s Wall - October 4th

Travel to the end of civilized the world! Hadrian’s Wall was the northernmost border of the Roman Empire, designed to keep the unconquered barbarians out. The wall stretched across the width of present day England and much of it has survived till today, making it a cultural treasure and UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Edinburgh Free Day or Departure Day - October 5th

Guests on the October itinerary will enjoy a free day in Edinburgh as they await the start of their main tour itinerary and in the evening enjoy the Welcome Dinner Reception. Guests who are finishing their September itinerary will say goodbye to all their new friends made and depart for home in the morning via our private airport shuttle.
