November 27th - Arrival Day and Welcome Dinner Reception

Guten Morgen and Welcome to Germany. Upon your arrival at the Berlin International Airport you will be transported to our centrally located accommodations in the heart of Potsdam. Peruse the Christmas Market located around the corner from our hotel accommodations before enjoying a Welcome Dinner Reception where you will meet your fellow travelers and enjoy a delicious meal together while learning more about our upcoming travels.


November 28th - Cecilienhof and Potsdam Christmas

Your day begins with a visit to the elegant Cecilienhof, a site steeped in history as the location of the 1945 Potsdam Conference. As you explore its charming Tudor-style architecture, you'll be transported back in time to the pivotal post-war negotiations. From there, you'll visit the iconic Glienicke Bridge, famously known as the "Bridge of Spies," where Cold War spy exchanges took place, offering a glimpse into the espionage intrigue of that era. Following these historical visits, your tour takes you through the splendid Sanssouci Palace grounds, a UNESCO World Heritage site, offering beautiful Baroque architecture and lush gardens. Cap off your day with a visit to the Potsdam Christmas market, conveniently located in front of your hotel, where you can savor the festive atmosphere.


November 29th - Berlin Christmas

Depart on a leisurely day tour from Potsdam to Berlin, visiting some of the iconic sites you haven’t yet seen on our previous days of exploration. Enjoy strolling along Unter den Linden, followed by a visit to Museum Island and Hackescher Markt. Afterwards delight in a visit to the Charlottenburg Palace Christmas Market before returning to Potsdam for the evening.


November 30th - Wittenberg and the Reformation

Witness the birthplace of the Reformation with a visit to Wittenberg. Enjoy a walking tour learning about Martin Luther’s time in the city and see the church where he nailed his 95 theses to the door. As we explore the historical landmarks, you’ll gain insight into the transformative impact of Luther’s ideas on the course of history. Following this informative tour, enjoy lunch in a cozy German restaurant before exploring the charming Christmas Market located directly in the heart of town.


December 1st - Dresden City Christmas Tour

Awaken in the heart of Dresden at the centrally located Hilton Hotel, your day unfolds with a relaxing blend of history and holiday spirit. Begin your morning with a captivating walking tour through Dresden's picturesque streets, where your guide will unravel the city's rich cultural tapestry and its remarkable Baroque architecture. After the tour, there will be an array of options to spend your free time. Meander through Dresden's enchanting Christmas markets, each one with a unique character, offering an array of handmade crafts and mouth watering seasonal treats. Alternatively, indulge your curiosity with a visit to one of the city's world-class museums, such as the Green Vault or the Albertinum. This day in Dresden seamlessly combines historical exploration, festive cheer and relaxation for a truly unforgettable experience.


December 2nd - Meissen and Moritzburg Castle

Your day begins with a picturesque photo stop at the Moritzburg Castle, a fairytale castle surrounded by a tranquil lake. We will then continue on to a world-renowned porcelain manufacturer and see a demonstration of Meissen's fine craftsmanship. Afterward, enjoy a delicious lunch at a hilltop restaurant, offering breathtaking views of the charming town below. After a satisfying lunch, wander through Meissen's delightful Christmas market before heading back to Dresden for the night.


December 3rd - Bayreuth and Mödlareuth Border Museum

As we make our way south, enjoy a visit to the fascinating Modlareuth Border Museum, a living testament to Germany's divided history. As you explore this open-air museum, you'll step back in time to the era of the Iron Curtain, witnessing the reality of a divided Germany. After our museum visit, we'll continue our journey south to the town of Bayreuth, where we will enjoy a Bavarian lunch and explore the town's vibrant Christmas Market. This day promises fascinating history along with the joyful merriment of the season, making it a well-rounded and memorable stop along our route to Rothenburg ob der Tauber.


December 4th - Rothenburg ob der Tauber

A day in Rothenburg is like stepping back into time. Begin your day with a guided tour of the walled city, where our expert guide will lead us through cobbled streets and charming squares. Enjoy tales of medieval life and view architectural gems like the Town Hall and St. Jacob's Church. The second half of the day unfolds at your own pace as you have the option to peruse the Christmas Market, walk the city walls, visit Kathe Walfart and the Christmas Museum, or just wander the cobblestone streets. In the evening, have the option to join the entertaining Nightwatchman’s Tour as Hans Georg tells lively tales of Rothenburg’s medieval past.


December 5th - Ingolstadt and Munich

As we make our way south to Garmisch-Partenkirchen, enjoy stops in Ingolstadt and Munich. Our journey begins with a visit to the Bavarian Army Museum, where we delve into centuries of military history, exploring artifacts and stories that have shaped the region. Following this enlightening experience, we'll meander through Ingolstadt's Christmas Market and enjoy lunch in the Old Town. Later in the day, our tour continues as we head to Munich, a city renowned for its enchanting Christmas markets. There, you'll be immersed in the Bavarian capital's holiday cheer, with a choice of markets such as the traditional Marienplatz or Medieval Market. This day promises to be a delightful blend of culture, history, and the joyous celebration of the holiday season in two charming Bavarian cities.


December 6th - Innsbruck Ski Jump Tour and Christmas Market

A visit to the Innsbruck Ski Stadium promises an exhilarating experience as we explore the iconic world of ski jumping. Our tour will be guided by a skilled ski jumper and offers valuable insights into this thrilling sport's history along with the meticulous preparation it entails. After an engaging tour, we'll indulge in a panoramic lunch at a restaurant perched on top of the ski jump, where the views of the snow-covered landscape make our meal truly memorable. Later, we'll venture into the charming old town of Innsbruck with its picturesque streets, historic architecture and festive Christmas Markets. This day is a perfect blend of adrenaline, culture, and holiday cheer in the heart of the Austrian Alps.


December 7th - Garmisch-Partenkirchen Free Day and Farewell

Enjoy a relaxing day in Garmisch-Partenkirchen with the perfect blend of freedom and scenic splendor. The morning is yours to explore our favorite Bavarian town at your own pace, visiting favorite sites or simply strolling through the charming streets and taking in the scenic beauty of the surrounding Alps. In the late afternoon, we will come together for a visit to a traditional Bavarian Restaurant for our Farewell Dinner Reception. Here we will share memories of our journey through Germany with great friends made during our travels.


December 8th - Departure Day

It’s time to load up and head home with memories to last a lifetime. Our private transportation will take you from The Rheinischer Hof Hotel to the Munich International Airport. Estimated time of arrival at the airport is 08:00.
